LITTLE SEEDLINGS NATURE SCHOOL

Poppy Field

Little Seedlings Nature School is a novel outdoor nature school program that draws inspiration from the wonders of nature. Our program runs in six-week terms during the Spring, Summer, and Fall. Classes are held every Monday and Thursday, regardless of weather conditions. Additionally, we offer a one-week-long camp in the summer season.

At Little Seedlings Nature School, we embrace a Reggio Emilia style of learning. Our curriculum encompasses a wide array of enriching experiences for children, including Nature Immersion Play, Bird/Butterfly Watching, Nature Trails, Animal Tracking, Mud Kitchen, Nature Games, Storytelling, Singing, Plant Identification, and Nature Artistic Expression. We believe in making every encounter with nature an opportunity to foster learning.

Community building is a fundamental aspect of our program. Children have the chance to build self-confidence as they forge friendships and interact with peers from diverse backgrounds. During each class, we incorporate a well-deserved snack break into our nature walks. We strongly encourage parental involvement, inviting you to observe your child's personal interests and interactions.

Learning outdoors provides children with a sense of safety and the freedom to explore, take calculated risks, engage their senses, collaborate with peers, form meaningful friendships, and gain a deeper understanding of the world. The open natural environment also allows them to move in ways that enhance core strength, balance, coordination, and physical endurance.
